“Starship log, lt Lindsay markum reporting. After looking at the files on lt. Tisora,i have decided to go to the serface and look at evidence and intervued witness and principles. I am hoping to get some conclusions to all of this. ” Lindsay said in her log.
She took a travel pod from the x to the obital station and then to the planet. She went to the police beracks. She was escorted to the office of colnel jurat.
“I thank you for meating me colnel!”Lindsay said. “Of course. I intend to coperate with all investigations into this matter!”jurat said. “Does the prosicution consider the matter closed?”she asked. “They feel confident that they know what happened! There are witnesses,she confesed!”jurat said.
“One investigator to another what do you think?”she asked. “Well ! Off the record, i don’t know. I think she is guilty. The evidence says she is guilty,the witnesses say she is guilty,she says she is guilty ,i just don’t know. I would never say that anywhere but hear!”he said. “I can respect that !”she said.
“I have seen some odd things but this is a top one i must say.”the colnel declared.”the thing i don’t understand is where did the pistol come from ?”Lindsay said. “No one knows for sure. No one i intervuer clams to have seen it before the  schoting. I got to say were it not for that,i would be convinced that i know every thing there was to know in this case!”jurat said. “That what i thought!”Lindsay said.
“Was there any prints on it except for tisora?”she asked. “No just her. We checked believe me!”jurat said. “This is odd!”she said. “I know!”he said.
  After talking to the police colnel,Lindsay left the station and headed for the market place.she tried to be a fly on the wall.she tried to observe only. She wanted to see what they would have seen. She wantes to feal what they would have felt that day. She believed that the answers were out there. She juat had to find them.
She was aproched by a shop keaper. She had been lost in thought. “Your from that ship. The sane ship that the killer was on!”a fellow shop keaper said. “Yes i am ! Did you did the event?”she asked. “I did. Odest thing i have ever seen. I have never seen a person killed right in front of me before. Its something i hope i never see again !”everk said. “I’m sure! “Markum said.
“What happened?”she asked. I saw her. She had been at my table with another person,a male. I think he is from your race. Then i was deeling with another customer and i heard the shcot. I looked up and i saw odark dead. “Everk said.
“Did you see the pistol before the schoting?” Lindsay asked. “No but manny murchents have personal protection just in case. We don’t anounce it. Before everk there had never been an incident. I had not seen any weapon around before the scoting. I asumed it was hers!”he said.
She intervewed several witnesses. None of them saw the weapon before the schoting.every one thought it was odd to have a pistol just lying around in plain sight. That was unheard off.
She had gone with the pain staking process of interviwing every murcent and other witnesses. None saw the weapon prior to its use. All implicated tisora as the schoter.
She saw steveren the andorian.she went over to him. “What are you doing hear? Shore leave was cancelled?”she asked. “I did not get that message !”steveren said.
“What are you doing hear?”she asked. “Conducting my own investigation. We andorians are famous for getting information from people ?”he asked. “I have heard that. What have you found ?”she asked.
“I think she was framed?”steveren said. “Come on. Every one saw it. Do you really think the whole market is lying?”she asked. “I discovered that pistol is used by a street gang on trabus five. The trabisians do freqient this world. One of the witnesses was a trabesien. Ardet luton !”steveren said. “Yes i interviewed him. Did not have too much information to contribute i did not already know. ” She said.
“Trabisiens don’t have telipathic abilities but they like to employ those who do. I suspect mind control was used!”steveren said.
“Woa! Slow down! You think that a telipath made people think that tisora fired that schot? ” Lindsay asked. “Either that or they made her fire it?” He said.”come on! That’s obsurd. For what perpouse?”she asked. “I don’t know! “Steveren said.
“The tradisiens and the humans have no contact. Our space are far from each other. “She said.”i have no idea. This is our first clue. Why don’t we what is the human expresion team up!”steveren said. “I don’t know you. We have had quite the discussion about you at eller hq and uspha. We are not totally sure you can be trusted. You did come out of no where!” She said.
“So did you. At least from my perspective. “Steveren said. “You sure this trabisien conection is not a wild ghose chase?”she asked. “What is a wild ghose and what does that have to do with the subject at hand?”the andorian said. “Never mind. Ok lets work together for now. Tick me off your off the team. “She said. “What if you tick me off ? Do i get to boot you off the investigation?”he asked. “Your not off to a good start !”she said.
Lt. Jason boyed tried and tried to see tisora. Apearently she did not want to see him. Finally she relented.
He was escorted into a waiting room. He waited for what seamed like eternity. Finally he heard footsteps. The door opened. She wore a gray and pink prison isue jumpsuit. She had shakles. She sat down. A gourd stood by at a distence.
“I miss you! I was sad that you would not see me! “Jason said. “I considered not seing you. “She said. “I suspected as much. Its me,whatever happened. It does not change us. It does not change our friendship!”Jason said.”i know that. I just find it difficult to talk to you right now. I understand your perspective but try to understand myine.”she said. “I do understand where your coming from. I understand your reasoning but i disagree with it. Don’t shut me out not now!”Jason said. “It is hard for me not to. “She said. “This is not the time to shut me out. This is the time you should embrace me. “He said. “I know but i just can’t. “She said.
“So you don’t think she fired the schot ?”Lindsay asked. “I don’t know but i do have my doubts. “Steveren said. “There were so many witnesses?”she said. “I know. This things smell of a frame up. “Steveren said.
“I am suprised your so quick to defend her. I have heard that the Vulcans and the andorians don’t like each other?”she asked.”our races don’t. I have come to respect her. “He said.
They saw arcon. “You again ? “Arcon said. “That pistol ? Is it one of yours?”Lindsay asked. “Its trabisien. Its not from my afiliation. We mark ours. Those are not our markings. Those markings are from the yocub group. They do not have a presence hear. “Arcon said.
“Your killing me arcon !”she said.”i do have a potential lead. A smugler names yildon. He is frelance. He arived two days before the event!”he said. “Thank you!”steveren said.
Office if jurat
“Yildon is known to us. He has never engaged in criminal activities hear. He has iligitiment interest as well. He builds hospital ,prividea famine relief,medical reserch. He has helped refugues in war torn areas. We keep a close eye on him but there is no evidence he has done anything wrong hear. We have looked!”jurat said.
“The pistol may be conected to him. “Lindsay said. “Why would he leave a pistol near a bizzar?”jurat said. “What if he fired the weapon? ” Steveren asked. “No way! I have witness who saw tisora discharge that energy weapon!”jurat said. “Maybe they thought that?”steveren said. “Mind control . Why? “Jurat said. “I don’t know !”steveren said. “This is a strech. I understand your need to exanerate her but you will have to do better then that!”jurat said.
After
“Come on!”steveren said. “Where?”she said. “To see yeldin. He frequencts a bar not far from hear!”he said. “Your not sugesting we walk up to him and ask him if he framed tisora?”she asked. “No if course not. We can discretly pay attention to his activities. ” He said. “Your going to drive me to drink you know that ?”she asked. “Are you coming ?”he asked. “Yes! I thought i was in charge of this investigation?” She asked.
Bar
They entered. Sure enough he was there. He had several of his alies there. They got a table nearby. Then the table exploded. Steveren threw Lindsay across the room. He bearly made it out. Yeldin was killed instently. There was one servivor. The alien flee the area.
Lindsay and steveren ran after him. Was he a victim or a perpitrator? They tried to find out.
Court room.
“We have heard from friends and coleges of the acused. We have heard from her commanding officer and other superiors. We also heard from the victim’s family . A husband ,a farther,a son,a brother was taken. You were a guest on our world and you deprived us of a precious comadity wutch we would not and could nor replace. I do not enjoy imposing this punishment but i see no orther option available to me. I hearby sentence you to death to be caried out tomorrow at 1600 tomorrow (12pm) . If you believe In an afterlife i hope your soul finds solice there. ” The judge said.

Qurters of lt. Lindsay markum
Lt. Markum loved to paint. It was one of her favorite pass times. She did not think she was very good. She enjoyed doing it. It was for her own enjoyment not for anyone else. She hid it from everyone. She wanted to keep it qiet.
The chime rang. She quickly put the art work away. She got up and went over the door. She unlocked the door. Then she opened the door.
The door opened,she saw on the other side,commander bryce shumar. “Commander! Come on in!”markum said. The commander entered. “Please sit down !”she said. He folowed her invitation and sit down.
“How can i help you commander?”she asked. “Lindsay i need your help!”shumar said. “Sure. I will help any way i can. “She informed him. “A shop keaper on the planet is dead. The perpritrator apears to be lt. Tisora. The evidence clearly shows her as that perpitrator. “Shumar said.
“Do you believe that she did commit this crime?” Lindsay asked. “I tend to think she did baised on the information i have.i know tisora. I know her to be an honorable person. These two things are contridictory. I canot easily dismis either of these things. “He said.
“I see. “Lindsay said. “She has been placed under arest. The captain wants someone to do an independent and inpartial investigation. Sense you just got hear and you have worked for jag you seam a good canidate to conduct an investigation Sutch as this. “Shumar said.
“I will need her service file and personal bio. I will need evaluations as well!” She said. “Of course. Anything you need. “Shumar said.
“I need you to know that i am a straght schoter. I am only interested in the truth. “Lindsay said. “I know. That’s what we both want. You do what you have to. “Shumar said.”i will find the truth whatever it is. “She asured him.
Planet dibiasie four
Captain styles took a traval pod from the obital station to the planet. From there he took a shartle buss to the local police beracks.
There were people everywhere. There was everything from onlookers,curiosity seakers ans media members. The arest had seamed to create interest in the common people and the media. The police was there but held back. The increased presence was a concern but they did not want to surpress the right of the people to know what was going on.
Captain styles arived ans tried to get to the entrence. It was not so easy getting pass the throng. He pushed to get to the door. It was not an easy task. No one seamed to want to move. He finally made it to the ingress.
“I’m sory sir. I must ask you to step back. “The porter said. “Officer i am captain corner styles. I command the ship that tisora served on. I would like to speak to someone in authority. “Styles said.
The porter contacted his imidiate supervisor. Styles was brought into a waiting area. Then he was brought to the officer in charge.
“This is colnel jurnat,commander of beracks 13 for the regional authority of debiedisen public safety and security. “An officer said. “You may wait outside coperal!”the colnel said. The gaurd did so. The door closed.
” it does not look good for your crewman captain. We have multiple witneses who saw your officer open fire on the shopkeper. We have her confesson.”he said.
The lt activated the screen. He saw her and an investigator. “Please begin!”the investigator asked. “I was in the market place. I was with lt. Boyed. I conversed with several murchents. I spoke to the murchent who i later killed briefly. Lt. Boyed left me.i saw a pistol near the murchent. I picked it up and schot him. I was then serounded. Then the police arived”she said.
“Why did you schoot him?”the officer asked. “I don’t know. I remember doing it. I don’t know why. It was like i was watching it happen. I dont remember what i thought or if i thought. “She said.  “Freze program. “It seams like a cut and dry case captain!”jurat said. “What will happen next?”styles asked. “She will apear before a megistrate. The megustrate will decide if he should be refered for proscution. If she is reminded to trial,a jurry will be inpanelled. I must warn you that we do have the death penalty. Our people are not friendly to murder especially muder commited by off worlders. ” Jurat said.
Outside
“Captain this makes no sense!”Jason’s said. “I agree but the evidence seams clear. She did confess. “The captain said.”one question i had is where did the pistol come from?”Jason said.

“Computor. Call up service record,lt jr grade tisora!”she said. On the view screen was the oficial file of tisora. 
Born on earth in sanfransisco in the north american association. Her perents were teserek and terara. Her farther was a member of the vulcan vilage assambly and a member of the.sanfransisco bored of supervisors. Her morther was a doctor and served as citty clerk. Tisora attended west point military academy and eller traning institute. She worked for several branches of eller industeries including the space divison. She looked over her comindations and recormendations.and citations witch were manny. This hardly sounded like a cold blooded killer. Lindsay had to learned to always dig deeper. She believed at the end of inocence or nieveity lied the truth.
“Computer. Psicological profile of lt tisora,security overide special investigation clearence gamma ecco, ecco ,tango abraxis.”she said. The profile was typical for a vulcan. She was objective,stoic and even kealed. Nothing that signaled any red flags. There was no concern. She had passed every review including one conducted just before the x.left earth space. Lindsay wanted to know more. She closely scrutinized the reports. She tried to find something ,anything that could shed light on this. So far she came up empty.
Infirmery
“Doctor renelds!”Lindsay said. “Hello lautanent. How can i help you?”she asked. “I have been put in charge in the investigation into the murder on the serface. I need tisora’s medical files. I nead you to turn it over to me!”she said.
“I know the procedure. Those files are usually confidential !”the doctor said. “I know. This is a capital case doctor. I need to look at everything !”Lindsay said. “You need this?”kelly asked. “I would not request it if i did not. “She said.
“I don’t know you. I have no idea if you can be trusted!”kelly said. “Look i have no axe to grind. The first duty of an any eller employee is to the truth. That is all i am interested in. “Lindsay said.
“If she is guilty,you will throw her to the wolves?”the doctor asked. “That is not my call!” Lindsay said. “Of course not!”she said.
“Please i need your files. I will go to the eller’s vp of heath and welness if i have to. I don’t want to go over your head. Please don’t make me. “Lindsay said. “Fine! I will have it transfered to your qurters!”kelly said. “Thank you!”Lindsay said. “Don’t make me regret it!”she said.
She returned to her queters. The files were open. She had injuries from a fall as a kid. This was interesting. She had been injured in a shartle acident over titen a few years erlier.
Flashback
The shartle had left on its traning run. Tisora was an excellent officer. She decided to try out for a special unit,a marine unit traned mostly in search and rescue but also in smal combat opetations sutch as hostege rescue. Tisora had been recomended by her c.o.
“We are now in position !”the co pilot reported. “Ok recruits. The fun begins now and goes down hill from there. Fire after the nightmere!”the commander said.  On the sergent’s order, the team jumped off of the craft. They were all in e.v.a suits. Tisora folowed the orthers. “Sir i am detecting a malfunction in ensign tisora’s suit!”A tech said. “Ensign tisora come back!”the sergent said.
Saturn general hospital
“Your daughter went without oxygen. We do know the extent of the damage for a while!”the doctor said. “Is she awake?”her morther said. ” She is in a coma at present. We are waiting to see what happens!”the doctor said.
  Markum took notes. She spent mounths in rehab. She then decided to rejoin eller industries. Could this be some kind of mentle break down due to her previous truma?
Dibiasie 4
Court room
“Have you been able to see her?”jason asked. “They won’t let me .not until she has been before a controling ligal authority. “Styles said.
The balith called the season to order.”miss tisora you stand acused of premeditated murder. Do you have a decleration?” The judge asked. “Yes i do your justice. I declare that i qm guilty!”she said. Jason heart sank. He wished that this was not happening.

Every thing seamed normal. There was no warning or indication of impending problems. Then it hit and when it hit,nothing was the same.
On the bridge,crewman bryian cayden was performing his duties. While he was performing his duties,he started to fell odd. Then he went into convulsions.
Soon other bridge crewmembers started to go into convulsions. The crew on the bridge went into a panic. Some over there fellow crewman ,others for themselves. Would they be afected by whatever this was.
As the dutty officer,gina was the defacto commanding officer until the captain arived. She had to act. She went over to one of the wounded crewman. She tried to treat the crewman at best she could.
Crewman not efected by the mystery ailment were buisy treating those that were.  They were kept buisy and then some.
In engineering, the night shift had been working on routine maitinence and diegnostic on the engines.  Then just as what occured on the bridge,several crewman began to go into convulsions.
Qurters of renelds
Dr. Kelly ann renelds had falled asleep. She was relaxed. Her com unit went off. It took her a few seconds before she comprehended what was going on. She activated the unit.
“Yes!”she said. Her husband started to wake up a little bit.”doctor we have multiple medical emergentcies all over the ship!”the doctor said. “Ok i will be right up!”she said.
“What’s going on?”kelly w asked.”i wish i knew! “She said. She got dresed in a rapid pace. She heard a noise. It was coming form her husband. She ran to him. He was having the same convulsions. She tried to help him.
  Tivora had been meditating. She was lost in her thoughts. She woke herself out of the trance. Somehow she knew something was wrong. She did not know what it was. She got up and decided to check it out.
She excited her qurters. The minute she left her qurters,she found a crewman on the ground.he was passed out. She went over and looked him over. He was unconscious. She had no idea what had caused him to be incompacitated. Tivora took out her communicator. “I have an injured crewman on c deck!”she said. “We have wounded all over the ship!”a medical crewman said. Tivora did not anticipate this hapening.
The whole ship was in crises. A masive number of crew members sucombing to the ailment. More were faling victim to it by the second.
Lindsay markum was sleaping. The alert went off on her com unit. “Markum hear!”she said.”sir! Crew members are faling victim to an unknown pathogin. We need you on the bridge! “Gina said. “I will be right there!” Lindsay said.
Lindsay got dresed quickly and ran to the bridge. She saw emergentcy team caring crew person afected by the pathogin. She arived on the bridge.
She went inside an elivator. She saw trajaten. “Bridge i assume?”the alien asked. “Yes that is corect! Do you have any idea what is going on?”Lindsay asked. “Probably about what you know!” Trajaten said. The door opened.
The two entered. “We had four crewman sucomb to the ailment. All male. “Gina said. “Are you in the clear!” Lindsay asked. “We don’t know enough about what this is to make that determination ! ” gina said.
“Are all of the crewman afected male?” Lindsay asked. “From the information i have yes they are!” Ema said.
“I have two thories. Both are eaqualy horifying, one it takes longer for the virus to afect females or the virus is ment to destroy males!” Trajaren sugested.
“As it was on earth, some races see males as more of a threat. This could be a ploy to weakon us. It could also be a strike against males. A type of gender war. ” Lindsay commented.
“Why are you unafected?” Ema asked. “I may be afected later. I could be a carier with no simptoms. ” Trajaten said. “Report any simptoms !”Lindsay said. “Of course!”he answered. “No one has heard from the captain or commander shumar!”ema said.
“I will go check on them! Right now chain of command is murky but gina stay in command for now. Emma we are going to need to be at peak efentcy on weapons and tactics. This may be a prelude to a bigger attack! “Lindsay said. “Will do!”the young officer reaplied.
Lindsay entered the elivator and excited the bridge. The bridge crew resumed there duties as best as they could.
Tivora helped the man to sickbay. She then left the infirmory. She had to check on jasson. She went to his qurters. She presed the chime. Ordinarily she would never do this but in light of recent events,it seamed the logical thing to do.she picked the lock by hacking into the controls. The door opened. She went inside the room.
  She found jasson passed out on the bed. She went to his side. She checked on him. He was unconscious but stable.
Lindsay walked in a brisk pace towards the captain’s qurters. The captain and first officer were the only ones who had there own qurters. The ship was described as a submarine in space.
When she arived she pushed the chime. There was no response. Lindsay took out her com unit. “Gina this is Lindsay ,i need the captain’s qurters opened up!” She said.
Gina noded to emma who sat at the armory station to activate a security overide. She presed the overide button. She entered her authentication code and her pasword.
Outside the qurters,the door swished open. Lindsay ran into the qurters. She found the captain passed out.
She waited until the medics arived. She then ran to the qurters of the first officer. He too was passed out.
Bridge
“I would like to help! I need to do something ! ” marie said. “Take the pilot chair” gina instructed. She took the helm. The door opened,Lindsay entered the bridge.
“Most of the senior officers are incompacitated. What is the chain of command?”Lindsay asked. “After captain and first officer, then chief engineer down the list of department heads. I am in the chain but as a science officer during a time of crises,my expertise should lie with the science divison. The medical officer could perform that duty but she is buisy and given recent history it would be problimetic. Lt. Markum you seam the logical chioce to command the x!” Tivora said.
“Any objections ?”Lindsay said. There was none. “Alright gina your exo. Ema your armory officer. Trajaten please report any simptoms at once. Have a designated understudy. “Lindsay ordered. He agreed.
“This is a crisis but we will get though it. We will do it together. Lets stay sharp people!”she said.

“Personal journal,exploration of uncharted teratory is frought with unknowns. The exploers find harsh climate,new deseases and animal threats. Exploration of space is not different. It too is fraught with danger.”
“During our mission batiling romulan robots,we lost petty officer sawer. Now we have lost another. Able crewman tim vilsack. Would he be the last?”
Crewman carl ayote and heidi mconnel ran for there lives. “Are we going to make it?” Heidi asked. “Yea we are! “He said. The creture chased them for a while but then found something else more interesting and then moved on. They would find them interesting again . That they know.
Trajaten and tivora worked on translating the artifects. “I’m sory to look over your soulder but this is a mission for the experts,science teama,not much for a solder and adninistrator!”styles said.
“Well! These artifects are what you would expect in a monument.one celebrates the founding of the citty. Another celebrates the oldest citizen. “Tivora said.”what is interesting is that there it apears that this planet is not these people planet of origin!”trajaten said.
“They are from another world?”styles asked. ” They describe there homeworld as beyond the great basan we think. We are having difficulty translating it. I think they came from a far off reigion.”trajaten said.
“The tridarnie home world’s location is not known . Up until a hundred years ago the tridarnie were considered myithical but an arkeological team discovered multiple prof of there excistence. “Tivora said.
“Was this a colony or did they conqur an excisting civilization?””styles asked.
“I’m leening towards a colony.i have found nothing to convince me of more then one civilization!”tivora said. “I have come to that conclusion as well. “Trajaten said.
” boyd to captain! Your needed at the command post! “He said. “On my way. Keep investigating!”he ordered.”will do!” Tivora said. He left the area.
“Vilsack is dead. It was like a dinosore!” Carl ayote said. “It almost got us!”heidi said. Dr. Renelds scaned them with her devive. ” SOMETHING WRONG isn’t it?” Heidi asked. ” you both have a perisite! “She reported. They both frieked out.
“Look i need you to remane calm!” She said. ” I would like to perform emergentcy exploritory sergery !”she said. “Can you remove it?”he asked. “This is brand new teratory! To be honest i don’t know. “She told him.
“Ok! “He said. “There is something else. I don’t dare take them to the x. I will have to set up an o.r out hear!” She said. “Anything you need! We will do it! “Styles said. “Thank you! I will need everyone on the serface screaned before they can returned to the ship! ” dr. Renelds said. “Agreed. Captain to all units! All unit are to return to base camp. Be on high alert for cretures that resemble earth dinosaurs. When you arive you will submit to medical screning. No one is to return to the ship until cleared by medical. ” Styles said.
After a while they called styles over. “Sir we have a problem! Team five has failed to call in? We can’t reach them. Team five is petty officer wolf,petty officer cobert ,crewmans ridge and rendel. “Shumar said. “Oh my! Alright ! We wil begin a full search for them. We have to find them!”he said.
“We will lunch search parties! Shumar asemble it. Teams of five at a minimum!” Styles said. They agreed. Then they got right to work.

“Captain’s journal,after completing landing ,the crew of the x 1000 has began to explore the planet. A planet that seams to be shrouded in mystery. ” 
Perizu team discovered a space port. There were ships there. “This planet had warp capible ships!” Perizu said. “Could some of the inhabitents have esaped?”shumar asked. “I am not even close to drawing that kind of conclusion. “Perizu said. “This citty is better preserved that i would have thought. “Shumar said. “We are working to find a time frame for when all of this occured. “Perizu said. “Well ! Keep me aprised! “Shumar said. “You got it !”the chief engineer said.
Dr. Kelly ann renelds began to look for evidence of bodies. While she assumed that most had decayed. Many were used to feed in by caryon eaters. She hoped to find something. If this the disaster happened hundreds of years ago or longer it could be difficult to find it.
This had to be a pain staking investigation. She found animal remains. She needed something tangible.
Trajaten got to work. He looked over a monunent. He compared the laungrege to orther languages. He was hoping to find a corelation.
“Trajaten to tivora!”he said.”go ahead!”tivora said. “Can you come see me!”he said.
Tivora went to his location. “What do you have?” Tivora asked. ” this language seams very similar to an ancient dialect of vulcan ! I am not sure! “He said. Tivora looked it over. ” this resembles several dialects. “She said.
“I may be able to translate it. At least a rough translation. I suspect it may be a war monument of some kind. “Trajaten said. “If this is a similar language it seams either Vulcan influenced this planet or this planet influenced Vulcan. “Tivora said.
” there might be mutual influence! “Trajaten said. “That seams very plausible ! “She said.
The captain looked over the city.tivora and trajaten came over to the captain. “I believe this planet is a colony of the tridarnie!” Tivora said.
